Circuit Training

Circuit training is what you get when you combine strength training with aerobic training. It's a good way to become stronger and increase your endurance at the same time. It can contain weight lifting exercise as well as aerobic exercises

What are Circuit Trainings?

The basics are simply performing a batch of exercises, right after each other without rest. Followed by a short rest and you'll repeat that sequence 2 or 3 times.
For example you might do 20 push-ups followed by 14 squats, 10 chin-ups and 1 minute of knee-raises, after that you have a 2 minute rest and you repaet the whole sequence 2 more times. This way you build strength, by doing the actual stength exercise, but because you go directly into the next exercise you keep your heart-rate up, the same thing that happens when cardio-training. Resulting in burning calories.

Why do it?

Apart from building strength and endurance you also
Save time, because you spend less time resting between sets and on cardio-training
Lose fat, because of burning much more calories than a normal weight-training
Work your whole body, most of the circuits are designed for this purpose, of course it's also possible to target a more specific area.
No gym needed, you can do a circuit training at home, in your garden or anywhere else actually.
